3.15 – System Administrator Access Policy

Purpose of Document:

To clarify who can receive system administrator status in ATS internal and external software systems.

Policy:

LITS-Administered Programs

For LITS-administered computer systems, System Administrator status will be granted only to LITS personnel actually responsible for administering the program. Requests for additional administrative access must be submitted to the Dean of LITS and will be granted only in cases where it is determined that administrator-level access is actually required. 

Non-LITS Administered Programs

For software systems used by other Seminary departments and supported by LITS, System Administrator status will be granted only to LITS personnel actually responsible for supporting the program and to designated personnel within the department using the program. Requests for additional administrative access will be granted at the discretion of the head of the department.
